Today finds me hanging out at the shop staring at the rain outside window. Sipping some coffee, typing some words, and then back to staring at the rain. Rob Zombie's "Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser" is spinning on the turntable and the barbers clippers are buzzing away. Not a bad Friday at all.
This week I finished tuning up Black Betty, my 1973 Ironhead Harley Davidson, and she screams down the road! Just not today because it's beyond soggy. I am currently working on Alice, my 1977 Ironhead Harley Davidson. She got new risers and handle bars this week and I am currently seeking out a springer front end for it. My favorite part of building a bike is being able to bounce ideas off other motorcycle enthusiasts and seeing what works and what doesn't. I met a 65 year old man that rebuilds nothing but British motorcycles. After hanging at his shop for an afternoon I really think my next bike will be a British motorcycle.
This week I also started in on the rebuild of Eleanore, my 1968 Pontiac GTO. Why Eleanore, because it is a car I never thought I'd be able to find and I did! Just like in the movie, Gone in 60 Seconds, Eleanore was Cage's happy ending, and in real life, she is my happy ending. The plan is to paint her piano black with black leather interior. I am still trying to figure out what engine I am going to drop into her.
I am excited to hit the road this year with Rob Zombie for the Twins of Evil Hell Never Dies Tour 2019! It kicks off July 9th in Baltimore, MD and rolls through to August. It'll be great to chase that insanity around again.
I appreciate you take the time to hear me ramble, and hope the world treats you well!
All the best,
